Cool thanks, I appreciate it cause I love yall and want to continue but I don’t want to delete 80,000+ posts from my blog when I’ve already deleted a few thousand lol

awkwardsophie:

Over the next while I’ll be slowly deleting everything from my blog. I’m not leaving tumblr, but I want a fresh start for 2016. I feel like I’m a completely different person from when I started this blog back in 2011, and I don’t think there’s any benefit to keeping the archives around anymore.

I’ve already gotten through about a year’s worth of posts and it’s really crazy to see how much my life has changed. While I still don’t have a solid career plan for the future, I’ve realized that it doesn’t mean I won’t be happy and successful. I still struggle with anxiety, but I’m no longer severely severely depressed. I used to feel like I’d never have a healthy relationship, but I’m in love with a beautiful woman who genuinely cares about me so much. I think 2011,2012,2013,2014 me would be really happy with who I’ve become over the past year.

Now, this is all to say that I’ll still be around, but I’m hoping to put forward a more positive, and authentic (but still funny of course) blogging experience. And also I thought it was worth while to examine how much I’ve grown and changed. I have nothing but good feelings about 2016 and I hope you have a wonderful year too.

exams would never be scheduled on christmas. no important sporting event would ever be played on easter. it’s about time that jewish holy days are given the same respect.

Exactly.

I should add that this isn’t limited to us Jews, either. In the past two years or so, both the Olympics and and the World Cup coincided with Ramadan, and a lot of Muslim athletes were left in the really shitty position of having to choose between either not fasting or putting their athletic performance at risk. If Christians had a fasting month, you bet your ass no sporting events would take place until it was over.

I am here for the Religious Solidarity movements.
